  • Chief Operating Officer

    Position and Role: Jennifer Inouye (she/her/wahine) is the Chief Operating Officer of the King Lunalilo Trust. With over 18 years of experience in human resource management, strategic planning, payroll, accounting, and employee relations, Jen leads the internal operations of King Lunalilo Trust and Lunalilo Home.

    Background Experience and Education: Before she joined the Trust in 2022, Jen led the human resource and accounting functions of several locally-owned companies. A graduate of Kaiser High School, she obtained her B.A. from University of Vermont and M.B.A. and Master of Human Resource Management from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Jen is a Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and has her Certification as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

    Fun Facts, Awards, and Other Unique Qualities: Jen coaches youth soccer at all age levels, helping ʻōpio develop teamwork and goal setting skills. She currently serves on the Oahu League of Hawaii Youth Soccer Association Board.

    Personal: Jennifer has two keiki and lives in east Honolulu.

Director of Kupuna Programs & Community Engagement, Iwalani Kanoelehya Ah Quin headshot photo
  • Director of Kupuna Programs & Community Engagement

    Position and Role: Iwalani Ah Quin (she/her/wahine) is the Director of Kupuna Programs & Community Engagement, and is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents at Lunalilo Home and participants in the adult day center. She designs and oversees engaging therapeutic activities tailored to the unique interests and needs of kupuna. Iwalani develops a comprehensive volunteer program, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and support for volunteers. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals and staff, she continuously evaluates and improves programs while fostering a kupuna-centered care environment. Iwalani also facilitates the Kupuna Council, ensuring that kupuna have a voice in decisions that impact their lives and care.

    Background Experience and Education: A graduate of the University Laboratory School in Mānoa, Iwalani has worked at Lunalilo Home since 1993. The longest tenure employee of the King Lunalilo Trust, she served in nearly every department at Lunalilo Home before she became Director of the Adult Day Center in 2017 and then Administrator of the Lunalilo Home in 2023.

    Fun Facts, Awards, and Other Unique Qualities: Iwalani grew up close to Lunalilo Home, in Kamilo Iki Valley. She really enjoys working with the kūpuna and says she learns new things from them every day.

    Personal : Iwalani has long-standing ties to Lunalilo Home and the area. Her mother grew up on Maunalua Bay before Hawaiʻi Kai was developed. Her father was a resident of Lunalilo Home for several years before his passing.

  • Chief Executive Officer

    Position: Keolamaikalani Dean (he/him/kāne) is the Chief Executive Officer of the King Lunalilo Trust & Home.

    Background Experience & Education: After graduating from the Kamehameha Schools, Keola obtained his B.A. from Harvard University, M.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University, J.D. from Stanford Law School, and Master of Health Policy & Administration from Washington State University. He practiced public accounting and audit for five years and corporate and securities law for ten years. Most recently, he served for eight years as an executive in the Washington state Medicaid agency, focused on tribal and urban Indian physical and behavioral health care and long-term services and supports. Keola is licensed to practice law in Washington.

    Fun Facts, Awards, & Other Unique Qualities: Keola is descended from two very different kahuna lines and enjoys singing and weaving haku lei.

    Personal: Keola grew up in Nānākuli, where his mom and grandparents raised him. He is married with four grandchildren and two dogs.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Emma Adolpho headshot photo
  • Director of Community Engagement

    Position and Role: Brandy Akimo is the Director of Community Engagement. Her role focuses on growing and coordinating a Lunalilo Home volunteer program with the overall goal of building meaningful connections between King Lunalilo Turst, Lunalilo Home and the broader community. Her role also includes strengthening Lunalilo Home partnerships with local and Hawaiian organizations, and creating experiences and opportunities that enrich the lives of kūpuna.

    Background Experience & Education: After graduating from Kamehameha Schools, Brandy obtained her B.S in Family Resources from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, M.S. in  Counseling Psychology(MSCP) and has had her License in Mental Health Counseling since 2022. With 25 years of experience in mental health and community care, Brandy has had the privilege of serving individuals and families across the lifespan, from keiki and ‘ohana to kūpuna.

    Fun Facts, Awards, and Unique Qualities: Brandy enjoys getting lost in spiritual reads, reading heartwarming holiday fiction stories, reading medical fiction and reading books that celebrate Hawaiiʻs culture and history. 

    Personal: Brandy was the only child of her parents, raised by her grandparents and an uniquely large community of aunts, uncles and cousins. It has been Brandys great honor to hānai her daughter, just as her own kupuna embraced and raised her. In addition, Brandy embraces the role and love and affection she has with her many nephews and nieces. It is an honor to work with kūpuna. Their stories, wisdom, and resilience remind us daily of the strength and values that shape our communities

  • Dietary Manager

    Position and Role
    Frankie serves as the Dietary Manager at Lunalilo Home, leading the preparation of nutritious, balanced meals that nourish both body and spirit. With a deep love for food and service, he ensures every meal reflects the same care and aloha that defines our mission.

    Background, Experience, and Education
    Frankie brings over 20 years of food service experience and a lifelong passion for cooking. He earned his Master of Public Health in Nutrition from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Management from Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before joining Lunalilo Home, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Culinary Specialist aboard the USS Paul Hamilton, completing a nine-month deployment to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His background blends technical skill with a servant’s heart—qualities that align closely with the spirit of Lunalilo Home.

    Originally from New York City, Frankie has embraced Hawaiʻi’s culture and the value of Aloha, seeing it not just as a word, but as a way of life. He describes himself as compassionate, humble, and strong, and lives by the advice to “love yourself every day, even when you feel alone.” His journey from the Navy to Lunalilo Home reflects a continued calling to serve others through care and community.

    Personal
    Frankie has been married to his husband, Paul, for 12 years. He has an older sister and a twin brother, and credits his mother as his greatest inspiration—her example of strength and service continues to guide him today. He enjoys entertaining, cooking, traveling, and spending time on the water whenever he can. At home, he’s happiest surrounded by his three dogs—Hilo, Izzy, and Kona—and finds joy in life’s simple pleasures shared with family and loved ones.

  • Sales and Marketing Manager

    Position and Role: Emma Adolpho (she/her/wahine) is the Sales and Marketing Manager at King Lunalilo Trust. She oversees sales, marketing, and admissions, strengthening community engagement and donor relationships while promoting the trust’s mission.

    Background Experience and Education: Emma earned her B.S. in Marketing from Weber State University. She worked in nursing home admissions, marketing, and customer service for over six years before joining the King Lunalilo Trust. In 2021, she joined the King Lunalilo Trust as Admissions Manager of Lunalilo Home, and, in 2023, she became Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.

    Fun Facts, Awards, and Other Unique Qualities: Emma loves the outdoors. She is from Utah and loves hiking and the beach. She graduated with her degree with honors. She speaks three languages: Spanish, Papiamento and English. She loves being with and around people; that’s what makes her happiest.

    Personal: Emma has a loving family who live in Utah. She enjoys activities outdoors, movies, and good food. In her free time she likes to paint and thrift shop.
